Born in 1931 in New Jersey, Pastore attended the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. In order to make a livelihood in a creative field she turned to interior design and had a successful career in the New York/New Jersey area.
Upon retirement she moved to Vermont, and while living on a secluded hilltop surrounded by 110- beautiful acres started to paint again. After moving to Sarasota, FL in 2006, Pastores' work has been juried into numerous exhibits and has received many awards and solo exhibitions. Her work is in residences in New Jersey, New Hampshire, Vermont, Ohio, Florida, and Athens, Greece.
Currently, Pastore is a member of both the Women Contemporary Artists of Sarasota, and the National League of Pen Women.
